Text Box: Welcome to Samrong education development center (SEDC), 40 minutes north of Siem Reap, Cambodia. Samrong is the name of a rural village situated about thirty km from Siem Reap town, just ten minutes from the zone one of Angkor archeological site. Furthermore, Samnang is a young Cambodian who had dream to build an English class to share to his community for free, primarily he has achieved one shelter to accommodate three kindergarten classes, and one adult class.

In this part of Cambodia, not far from the incredible Angkor Wat temples, tourism is the major employer beyond subsistence farms and family retail businesses, so skills in languages provide a passport for future employment. For 200 rural children SEDC provides hope, opportunity and support.
SEDC was firstly built under a house providing daily English classes by Samnang with his hope to deliver his little language knowledge to the kids and all the education hunger people in his community. One year later the shelter was built with the support from Mr Ngey, house owner. Then we started to have three volunteer teachers to offer more classes. So far, we have four volunteer teachers, they all are not professional, but highly motivated, self-esteemed, dedicated and willful to share their small knowledge.
Mr Maurizio Mandl had spent six months working in Cambodia in tourism sector. He had spent several times to visit our community, and recommended to his friend all over the world to visit our community. Everyone always benefited a good memory from the activities done in the class.
